Cian McCarroll

PhD Student, Trinity College Dublin

Project Title: How autonomous vehicles will impact time use dynamics in the contemporary urban environment

Biography:My name is Cian, I am 25 years old and have lived in Dublin my whole life. I completed my undergraduate in TCD studying Geography and Sociology with a focus on contemporary urban geography. I have found that geography forms a great bridge between the fields of science and the humanities, this has left me well placed to explore an interdisciplinary project that engages with how technology will impact the cities of the future. A bit about myself, I enjoy listening to music in my spare time, and have done some work in the visual arts field. I really enjoy the style of work given to me by a PhD as I find I work better when working on my own time.
