Dr. Ahmed Zahran

Biography: Ahmed Zahran is a lecturer at the Computer Science Department, University College Cork (UCC), Ireland. He has obtained my Ph.D. at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the University of Toronto in 2007. Dr. Zahran’s research interests lie in the broad areas of general distributed systems and wireless Internet technologies, including next-generation wireless networks and systems, smart cities, and multimedia communications. His research focuses on developing new algorithms, protocols, and solutions to ensure the best user experience and optimized network operation.
