Dr. Kashif Ahmad

Biography:

Kashif Ahmad received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, Pakistan, in 2010 and 2013, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Trento, Italy, in 2017. During his Ph.D. He worked with the Multimedia Laboratory in DISI, University of Trento. He is currently working as an Assistant Lecturer at the department of Computer Science, Munster Technological University, Cork, Ireland. He previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Doha, Qatar, and Trinity College Dublin, Ireland.

His research interests include multimedia analytics, Social Networks Analysis, AI, and NLP applications in smart cities. He has been part of several funded research projects. He is also a program committee member of several international conferences, including CBMI, ICIP, and MMSys.
