Dr. Susan Rea

Biography: Susan Rea, PhD, is the Director of Research at the Nimbus Centre at Munster Technological University (MTU) where her current research interests focus on IoT & CPS, specifically embedded infrastructure management using distributed ledger technology and cybersecurity for trusted large scale next generation networks. I am responsible for the coordination of strategic research programmes and core activities related to Nimbus and the broader MTU remit under the ICT thematic research domain (addressing cyberphysical systems, internet of things and digital transformation). She is a Principal Investigator in the SFI CONNECT Centre for Future Networks, Funded Investigator in the SFI ENABLE Spoke and a member of the Blockchain Ireland Skills, Education and Innovation Working Group as well as being a member (and former Vice Chair) of the IEEE UK and Ireland Blockchain Group and has recently been appointed to the International Association for Trusted Blockchain Applications (INATBA) Academic Advisory Body.
