Evelyn Nomayo

PhD Student, Trinity College Dublin (TCD)

Evelyn is a full-stack developer, a data scientist, an educationist, a technology consultant, and a woman in tech evangelist. Her career began as a banker and has worked for several companies, including IBM, Eircom, and National Pen Ireland. She has also contracted and successfully delivered projects for several small businesses, multinationals, and governmental organisations as a software developer and trainer.

Over the years, she has mentored hundreds of people in finding their career paths and realising their potentials. In recent times, she mentored some young girls currently representing Ireland as finalists in a Global Technology Entrepreneurship Programme for Girls using technology to solve social problems in their communities.

Evelyn has bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Statistics,  Data Analytics, and Big Data and Computer Science. She also has master’s degrees: Business Administrator, Cloud Computing, and Computer Science(Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science).

 

Working thesis title/research area: Latency Reduction in IoT Architectures using Emerging Technologies.
