Isaiah Gitonga

Project Title: Role and impact of connected health technologies on psychological wellbeing and quality of life of patients with Cancer.

Biography: Isaiah Gitonga is a doctoral researcher in the department of psychology, Maynooth university under the ADVANCE CRT programme. His research interests are mental health and wellbeing in chronic illness, particularly cancer. Gitonga has over five years’ experience in mental health research and programming. Before starting his doctoral studies at Maynooth university, Gitonga worked as a researcher and coordinator for various community mental health programs in Kenya. His current research seeks to explore the role and impact of connected health technologies on psychological wellbeing and quality of life of cancer patients. Gitonga holds a bachelor’s degree in Nursing Sciences and a master’s degree in Public Health from University of Nairobi, Kenya.
