Joan O’ Donnell

Biography: My research focuses on the development of inclusive safe virtual spaces where people, can be themselves and exercise agency over their own lives. This is a Systems Thinking informed action research research project focusing on the conditions needs to co-create viable and sustainable virtual spaces, building on psychological safety, presence and meaningful connection. It focuses on the design of virtual disability services in ways that can enhance dialogue and understanding, promote equality of access and participation and impact on the power imbalances often found in traditional service delivery models.
