Advance CRTThe Metaverse, A New Frontier for Copyright and the Protection of User Generated Content
Oscar is a doctoral researcher under the supervision of Professor Aisling McMahon and Dr Karen Walsh at Maynooth University under the ADVANCE CRT Programme. He is currently working on the copyright issues that may arise regarding user-generated content on the future Metaverse. He has a BCL in French Law and Irish Law, and has completed an LLM in Global Legal Studies at Maynooth University and an LLM in Intellectual Property and Information Technology at Trinity College Dublin, all with first class honours. His work in his Masters theses has centred around how copyright and related rights interact with users of modern technology, providing the starting point for his current PhD research.
