Ramin Soleimani

PhD Student, University College Cork

I obtained my master’s degree in Internet of Things (IoT) for e-health at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain in 2019 and bachelor’s degree in computer engineering at Isfahan University, Isfahan, Iran. For my thesis research during my graduate education, I earned a grant and conducted a research project to design a smart algorithm that can be integrated with IoT networks to prevent ulcer pressures disease (bed sores) for bed-bound patients. Medical IoT networks are a focus of my research. I am fascinated by making use of AI paradigms and machine learning algorithms to make IoT networks more sustainable. Besides computer science, I enjoy philosophy.  My focus at ADVANCE CRT is on addressing privacy issues involving medical information under the supervision of Prof. Dirk Pesch and Dr. Donna O’Shea.
