Seamus Ryan

Seamus is a student turned Engineering Project Manager turned student again. He has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems from the University of Limerick and a Masters in CyberPsychology from Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology. In the last 10 years he has worked as a Developer, Scrum master, Agile coach, and PMO Adviser in a variety of companies and industries including 7 years at Microsoft. He has unemigrated from Seattle and is currently doing a PhD in Trinity as part of the Health Technology Design Research Group. Sometimes he talks in the third-person.

Research Interests: Clinical Tech, Mental Health, Fairness, Emotions, Machine learning, Weird datasets.

Working thesis title/research area: Using Machine Learning in the Improvement of Digital Mental Health interventions
