Biography: 

Tanweer Hussain, an accomplished ADVANCE CRT PhD candidate in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at Trinity College Dublin, brings a wealth of academic and research experience to his current role. Having established a commendable publication record, Tanweer earned his MSc (by Research) at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) Malaysia, following his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology, Nawabshah, Sindh, Pakistan.

Before joining the ADVANCE CRT, his research focused on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Energy Harvesting, the Internet of Things (IoT) and Heat Transfer. His proficiency extends to using tools like ANSYS Fluent, and he has mentored numerous undergraduate students in their Final Year Projects (FYP) both during and after his MSc.

Tanweer’s journey is enriched by seven years of teaching experience across various universities in Pakistan and Malaysia. His current research focus at TCD involves Flexible Heat Pipes, Energy Harvesting, and the Internet of Things (IoT) under the guidance of Dr. Michael Gibbons. Tanweer is poised to significantly contribute to the field with a diverse skill set and a background encompassing education and research.
