Yanet Morejón Hernández

Project Title: Empowering participation through new and emerging technologies: inclusion by design.

Biography: I am Yanet Morejón Hernández, currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology under the supervision of Dr. Deidre Desmond at the Department of Psychology in Maynooth University. I obtained my Master’s degree in Educational Psychology at the University of Havana, Cuba, in which university I also was Licensed in Psychology with Summa Cum Laude honors. From 2016-2020 I have been researching cinema audiences and movies reception as a member of the Cinema and Audiovisual Research Group at the “Juan Marinello” Cuban Institute for Cultural Research. I also have been especially interested in the impact of communication technologies on children’s education and its uses in family contexts, focusing on media learning and adult’s participation, in terms of communication process and social interaction.
