Project Title: An IoT and Digital Earth Twin Platform to Enable Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Implementation Monitoring
Biography: Moazzam Shah Bukhari Syed is an ADVANCE CRT PhD candidate in the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Technological University Dublin. Moazzam has an undergraduate degree in Telecommunication from University of Sindh, Pakistan. Before joining the ADVANCE CRT, his research focused on VANETs, IoT, and Wireless Communications. In parallel to studies, Moazzam is an award-winning (Diana Awardee) Social Entrepreneur and Sustainable Development Leader with an experience expanding over almost a decade. Member at UNESCO SDG4Youth network, Moazzam has diverse expertise in nonprofit leadership & strategic roles, global educational policies, and sustainable communities’ development through SDG-4. Moazzam’s initiative, Walkway School, has raised over £50,000 and sent over 3000 children to schools so far.
With his diverse skillset and exposure consisted of technical/engineering education, research and sustainable development, Moazzam’s current research at TU Dublin focuses on enabling Sustainable Development Goal implementation monitoring through an IoT and Digital Earth Twin platform under the supervision of Dr. Damon Berry and Dr. Paul Stacey.
